Actavis Ltd., formerly known as Pharmamed, commemorated the launch of the new corporate identity by a presentation of a donation of Lm2,000 in favour off the Malta Community Chest Fund. This presentation was made  to the President of Malta, H.E.  Dr. Edward Fenech Adami.

Actavis is a multinational pharmaceutical group worth over 1.4 billion euros and employs 7,000 people including highly trained teams of pharmacists, chemists and other scientific professionals, in 23 countries.

Local CEO, Steinthor Palsson, said that whilst the corporate is celebrating the success of the group with its shareholders and employees, it has also taken into account the valuable work that is being done by the Malta Community Chest Fund and would like to contribute to improve the future of those in need.

President Fenech Adami expressed his gratitude for the noble gesture taken upon the successful corporate in commemorating its new identity.

The President said that the Malta Community Chest Fund is a philanthropic organization that assists people in Malta who are really in need.  Initiatives such as the one taken by Actavis allow the Malta Community Chest Fund to assist more persons.
