THE PRESIDENT OF MALTA INAUGURATES THE MALTA SIEGE MEMORIAL IN LONDON
The President of Malta, H.E. Dr. Edward Fenech Adami inaugurated the Malta Siege Memorial in Trinity Gardens in London, an initiative of the George Cross Island Association (GCIA). His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh, Patron of the GCIA, later laid a wreath at the monument. The stone used for the Memorial was cut from a Gozo quarry.
Prior to the unveiling ceremony, The President attended a thanksgiving service at All Hallows by the Tower Church to commemorate those who served in the Siege of Malta GC 1940 - 1943.
