The President of Malta and Mrs Fenech Adami tomorrow morning will be leaving on a two day State Visit to the Republic of Croatia. This is the first State Visit by a Head of State of Malta to Croatia.  The President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Michael Frendo.

During the visit the President will hold talks with the President of the Republic of Croatia, HE Mr Stjepan Mesić,  with the Speaker of the Parliament H.E. Vladimir Ŝeks, with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Ivo Sanader and with the H.E. Cardinal Josip Bozanić, Archbishop of Zagreb.

A Business Delegation composed of high officials of officially appointed bodies, constituted bodies and  private enterprises, has joined the state visit and will be meeting with their Croatian counterparts.

The President and Mrs. Fenech Adami will return to Malta on Friday, 27^th October, 2006.

Dr George Hyzler will be the Acting President.
