The President of Malta and Mrs Fenech Adami, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon Michael Frendo, will be leaving Malta today for a two-day State Visit to the Republic of Cyprus. 

Tomorrow morning President Eddie Fenech Adami will have talks with the President of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr. Tassos Papadopoulos and later meet with the President of the House of Representatives H.E. Mr. Demetris Christofias, His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos II, the Mayor of Nicosia, Mrs. Eleni Mavrou and with the Mayor of Larnaca, Mr. Andreas Moyseos.

A Business Delegation composed by representative of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise, Malta Tourism Authority and the Malta Stock Exchange and six Maltese Companies will be on the State Visit.  A business forum and one-to-one meetings with the Cypriot counterparts are being organised by the Malta Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Maltese businessmen.

Minister Frendo will hold talks with the Cypriot Foreign Minister, H.E. Mr Yiorgos Lillikas.

The President and Mrs. Fenech Adami will return to Malta on Tuesday, 12^th June 2007.

Dr George Hyzler will be the Acting President.
