Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, welcomed His Excellency Javed Ahmed Umrani for a courtesy visit at the end of his term as High Commissioner of Pakistan to Malta.

 

During the meeting, bilateral cooperation was discussed and among other things, the successful work of the Malta-Pakistan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, which was established in 2017 to strengthen ties between the two countries and multilateral cooperation while ensuring continuous contact between Malta and Pakistan, was highlighted.

 

For her part, Her Excellency thanked the High Commissioner for his work in Malta, and wished that this would be continued by his successor, especially in the areas of common interest of education, culture and exchange between the respective peoples.
