Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, attended the launch of the 16th edition of the 53-hour volleyball marathon in aid of Dar tal-Providenza.

 

The marathon will run until Saturday with the aim of raising funds for the Dar Tal-Providenza to continue offering its services to persons with disability.

 

Accompanied by the Director of Dar tal-Providenza, Monsignor Martin Micallef, and in the presence of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Robert Abela, and several Members of Parliament from both sides of the House, the President met with the volunteers and athletes taking part, and acknowledged their commitment and sacrifice in aid of this noble cause.
