With reference to the article entitled ‘Man charged with assault freed due to presidential shortcoming”, carried by Times of Malta today and quoted on social media, the Office of the President would like to clarify that document in question was submitted to The Palace on the 11^th October 2021, was signed by the President of Malta on the 12^th October 2021, and was returned to sender on the 14^th October 2021.
