Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, attended the celebration of the National Day of the Republic of Poland, organised by the Embassy of Poland in Malta.
 
Recalling the diplomatic relations between Malta and Poland, which date back to 1971, the President highlighted the collaboration between the two countries in various sectors including health, education, culture, cooperation in science, taxation and air services, and noted the substantial increase in tourism to and from Poland.
 
The President expressed hope that this relationship will continue to strengthen and be built on common values ​​in favour of peace and democracy, including in international fora such as the European Union of which Malta and Poland are both members.
