A new initiative in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund called L-Istrina Palace Run will bring together athletes from across Malta and Gozo for a marathon that, over a period of four years, will incorporate the three Presidential Palaces.

 

The first leg of this marathon, ‘The 10km L-Istrina Palace Run’, will take place on Sunday 15th June and will start from the Verdala Castle to San Anton Palace.

 

At the end of each edition, medals that will form a set will be distributed, and will serve as a historical memory that represents unity, perseverance and collective impact, and will be a testament to the generosity of each and every one of the participants. This in addition to prizes for the first three athletes in their respective categories.

 

This initiative, which originated from an idea of ​​Major Richard Vassallo, will also celebrate Maltese cultural heritage.
