On Friday evening, on the eve of l-Imnarja, President Myriam Spiteri Debono declared this year’s l-Imnarja festivities open.
The President expressed her hope that the Imnarja feast will highlight the contribution of farmers and villagers and will also serve to increase appreciation for Maltese food products.
The President also inaugurated an audiovisual exhibition in connection with Imnarja 2024.
During her speech, the President emphasized the need for traditional Maltese food to be included again as part of the menu of the Maltese family.
