Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, attended the celebration of Egypt’s National Day.

 

The celebration, organised by the Embassy of Egypt in Malta, also commemorated 200 years of diplomatic service by the Egyptian people.

 

In her speech, the President of Malta highlighted the strong and long-standing bilateral ties between Malta and Egypt, based on shared values ​​including working towards peace, stability and prosperity.

 

Her Excellency also referred to the commitment of Malta and Egypt to continue strengthening their ties, in the areas of renewable energy, trade and infrastructure development, as well as tourism between the two countries.

 

On an international level, the President also noted the shared commitment of Malta and Egypt towards diplomacy and dialogue to achieve peace and strengthen cooperation.
