Hundreds of people attended this year’s edition of the Ball of the August Moon, in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

 

Several new elements were introduced during this year’s edition, including the decoration with pavilions and banners with the coats of arms of different Grand Masters, which gave a festive touch to the Ball and celebrated the history of Verdala Castle. This while the floral arrangements complemented the architecture and art of the place.

 

Another element that celebrated the history of the Castle was this year’s surprise, with a dance by the YADA Dance Company, under the guidance of Felix Busuttil, by dancers who gave new life to the legend of the Blue Lady who is said to appear here.

 

While the Armed Forces Band of Malta kept up the tradition of the ball, and once again delighted those in attendance, it was also joined by the Big Band Brothers and singers Jessica Magro, Jessica Micallef, Daniel Cauchi and Jolene Samhan.
