On Friday evening, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, attended a concert by the Armed Forces of Malta held on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and celebrating the 60th anniversary of Id-Dar tal-Providenza.

During the evening, the Grupp Flimkien Naslu was awarded the Mons. Mikiel Azzopardi Award, in recognition of its voluntary contribution to the field of persons with disability in Malta and Gozo.

In her speech, the President acknowledged the work carried out in this sector, and described the anniversary that Dar Tal-Providenza is commemorating as 60 years of service, love and dedication by all its workers and volunteers in aid of persons with disability in Malta.

The evening was held under the patronage of the President of Malta and the Auxiliary Bishop, Monsignor Joseph Galea Curmi, at the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Paul, in Imdina.
