On Wednesday evening, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, presented the President’s Award to Architect Joanna Spiteri Staines during the sixth edition of the MASP Awards, held at the Verdala Castle, in recognition for her contribution particularly in terms of conservation and restoration.

 

In her speech, the President of Malta described this evening as a recognition of architects who, while expressing their creativity, protect and promote the conservation and rehabilitation of existing buildings, with respect for the architectural and natural heritage of our country.

 

The President highlighted the importance of promoting sustainable development and fostering a holistic and ethical approach that gives due consideration to various aspects of people’s lives, including physical, mental and psychological health.
