At San Anton Palace, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta, presented awards to nurses and midwives who retired during the year.

In her address, the President thanked them for their service, describing their work as a vocation they perform for the good of patients, with sacrifice for themselves and their families.

The ceremony was organised by the Florence Nightingale MUMN Benevolent Fund, which was created by the Maltese Union of Nurses and Midwives (MUMN) to assist nurses and midwives in moments of difficulty due to illness.
