H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta, awarded the Ġieħ Għawdex to Chev. Joe Bajada and Dun Michael Xuereb during the Jum Għawdex ceremony organised by the Circolo Gozitano, Kunsill Reġjonali Għawdex and the Ministry for Gozo and Planning.

In her speech, the President explained that this ceremony and the honours serve as a reminder of the achievements of Gozitans in different sectors, and sheds light on the focused and persistent character of Gozitans.
