On Tuesday morning, H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, accompanied by the Minister for Education and Sport, Hon. Byron Camilleri, began a series of visits to schools across Malta and Gozo in connection with the BOV L-Istrina Piggy Bank Campaign 2026, with the first visit taking place at Cospicua Middle School within St Margaret College.

During the visit, the President had the opportunity to engage with the students and answer a number of questions they asked. The President reminded the students that they form part of various communities which help prepare them to take their place in society as responsible citizens and contribute to the well-being of our country.

Over the coming weeks, the President will visit 21 State, Church and Independent schools, with the aim of meeting students and educators and conveying a message of solidarity and generosity towards those who are going through difficult times and turn to the Malta Community Chest Fund for assistance.
