H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono, accompanied by her delegation, visited the Ambulatorio Madre di Misericordia clinic. The President acknowledged the work being done in this clinic, and thanked the administration for offering Maltese medical students the opportunity to work with patients in this clinic.
During her visit to Rome, the President also visited the Bambino Gesù hospital that offers specialised treatment to kids and that, every year, hosts Maltese patients and medical students from Malta.
So far, around 18 Maltese students had the opportunity to work at this hospital in Rome, and the hospital has assisted in various cases of kids born with serious medical conditions.
The President and her delegation held discussions with the hospital’s administration, regarding the treatment offered at the hospital, the latest technological and medical developments, and the collaboration between this hospital and the Maltese medical school.
