The launch of ‘Ġorġ Borg Olivier – Il-bniedem, il-Politiku, il-Missier ta’ Malta Indipendenti’, authored by veteran journalist Michael Caruana, was held at the San Anton Palace.

In her address, H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono spoke of Borg Olivier as a wise leader who acted with caution throughout his leadership and political life.

The President also reflected on the local political developments over the years, 60 years since Independence, and how these have translated into prospects and opportunities for the Maltese people, thanks to the good will of politicians driven by their mission for the benefit of the people.
