During last night and tonight, the facades of Verdala Castle and San Anton Palace are lit up in red light in recognition of the selfless gesture of thousands of blood donors, who save lives by donating blood.

 

With this symbolic gesture, the Office of the President of Malta is continuing to raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations.

 

This year, the World Health Organization is focusing on the message “A Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives,” which places humanity at the center of every blood donation, and reminds us how every donation is a gesture of compassion, solidarity through which we care for each other.
