The President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono visited the Central Archive at the Santo Spirito Hospital in Rabat, Malta, at the invitation of Mr Charles Farrugia, the National Archivist.
During this visit, the President met with the employees and volunteers, and also with the management who explained the various sections and their work.
The management of the Central Archive at the Santo Spirito Hospital in Rabat, Malta, emphasised the urgency of identifying a site to build the national archives according to the best standards in the field of archiving in order to safeguard the documents compiling the history and collective memory of the people of Malta.
