Two non-resident Ambassadors and a non-resident High Commissioner, presented their credentials to Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta.
These are:
His Excellency Lauri Bambus, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia
His Excellency Christophe Paul Schiltz, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
And
His Excellency Fredrick Lusambili Matwang’a, High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya.
In the meeting with the non-resident Ambassador the Republic of Estonia, the discussion focused on the latest geopolitical issues.
The non-resident Ambassador of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, spoke on the similarities between the two countries and their role as active members of the European Union.
The non-resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya spoke about potential avenues of further bilateral collaboration with Malta, especially in areas championed by Malta such as the maritime sector, the blue economy and tourism. The Ambassador reiterated the importance of the relationship with Malta also on a bilateral level, especially in the context of both countries being active members of the Commonwealth and the United Nations.
During the meetings, President Spiteri Debono congratulated the Ambassadors and the High Commissioner and encouraged them to visit Malta periodically in order to sustain the bilateral relations each of the three countries have with Malta.
