H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, received a courtesy visit at the San Anton Palace from members of the Council for Maltese Living Abroad.

Her Excellency appealed to the members to keep alive and strong, in their work, the link between Malta and the Diaspora in their respective countries.

The President noted that many of the Maltese living abroad, both those born in Malta and their descendants, still love the Maltese language, and cooperate in initiatives so that Maltese culture, traditions and values ​​remain alive even kilometers away from our land.

At the end of the visit, the President also received a donation in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund.
