H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, held a farewell meeting with Stephen Hill, President of the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ), at the end of his term.

During this meeting, Hill spoke about his work during his three years of mandate at the held of the IIJ. He pointed out that this organization has managed to grow strongly over the past eleven years, thanks to the training and networking opportunities for criminal justice practitioners from all over the world.

He stressed the importance of this organization, especially in relation to crises in countries and regions around the world, and explained that the fight against terrorism remains at the top of the IIJ’s agenda.

For her part, the President of Malta thanked him for his work within this organization and wished him well for the next step in his career.

During the meeting, Hill was accompanied by Reinhard Uhrig, Director of Administration and Outreach, Naoufel Gaid, Director of the Academic Unit within the IIJ, as well as Mike Grant, who is the Director of Programs.
