H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta, attended the National Day celebration of Egypt.

 

In a speech on the occasion, the President highlighted the historic friendship between Malta and Egypt, based on a shared cultural heritage and cooperation in various fields.

 

Referring to the significance of this year, which marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Malta and Egypt, the President reiterated Malta’s commitment to further broadening cooperation between the two countries, and exploring the possibilities of working together in new areas, for the mutual benefit of the respective peoples.
