H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono addressed a reception on the occasion of Europe Day, organized by the European Commission Representation in Malta, and the Office of the European Parliament in Malta.

 

In a speech on the occasion, the President described this event as a celebration of our European identity and its fundamental values and the fact that the European Union started as a project of peace.

 

This while emphasizing the importance of the European Union continuing to be a strong and consistent voice for peace and justice around the world.
