H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono visited the Workers’ Memorial Building, where she met the workers of the General Workers’ Union and Union Print.
In an address to the members of the Executive and the Council of the GWU, the President recognized the work of the Union to introduce an element of organization among the workers in Malta and Gozo, at a time when their rights were not recognized.
She also referred to how, over the years, the GWU continued to evolve so that it remained a point of reference and leadership for workers.
