The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, His Excellency Barkın Kayaoğlu, presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta.

The President expressed her gratitude, on behalf of the Maltese people, for the diplomatic intervention carried out by Turkey, which helped ensure that our country maintained a steady supply of the chemical used at the Oncology Hospital for cancer treatment.

They discussed the relationship between Malta and Türkiye and how it can be further strengthened. Regarding the turbulence on the international scene, it was noted that Malta and Türkiye are both at the forefront in conveying a single message — one in favour of dialogue and lasting peace.
