Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, attended a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Office of the Ombudsman – Malta.

In a speech delivered at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, the President emphasized that this anniversary should remind us of the enduring values of our democracy — transparency, good governance, and the protection of citizens’ rights.

The President paid tribute and expressed her gratitude to the Ombudsman, Judge Emeritus Joseph Zammit McKeon, his team, and all those who have contributed to this institution over the past three decades.
