H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono met with the children who, together with their educators, attended the Festa tal-Festi on Wednesday morning, organized by The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation at the Verdala Castle and its gardens.

While speaking with the children, the President encouraged them to appreciate the Maltese feast, culture, and art, and urged them to get involved so that these traditions remain alive.

Minister for the National Heritage, the Arts, and the Local Government, Hon. Owen Bonnici, also attended this visit.

Later in the day, H.E. President Myriam Spiteri Debono returned to the Verdala Palace for Festa tal-Festi, to meet with groups of elderly people who attended this activity organized by the Malta Community Chest Fund.

They had the opportunity to enjoy various traditions related to the Maltese feast, including an exhibition of damask and religious statuettes as well as handcrafts that add color to the traditional Maltese feast, such as the Maltese liedna.
