Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, concluded her series of visits to schools across Malta and Gozo, as part of the BOV L-istrina Piggy Bank campaign, with a visit to the Sannat Primary School and Special Unit.

At this school, which includes a section for students with special needs, the President attended a musical performance by the students themselves, and was presented with a book of poems written by a student on the autism spectrum.

The President praised the work carried out at this school, dedicated to the Gozitan writer and linguist Ġuże Aquilina, for the way it promotes integration among students, as well as the school’s dedication to other initiatives such as the EkoSkola and the school council. She said that such initiatives foster future leaders and worthy citizens.

This year, President Myriam Spiteri Debono visited 21 Government, Church and private schools as part of the BOV L-istrina Piggy Bank campaign.
