Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, visited the Archbishop’s Minor Seminary, as part of the L-istrina BOV Piggy Bank campaign.

During her visit, the President was accompanied by the Archbishop, Monsignor Charles J Scicluna, and the Minister for Education, Sports, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima.

Addressing the students, the President encouraged them to also be part of this year’s L-Istrina, by contributing their little towards the Piggy Bank campaign.

The President explained that during the year she met some students who after school do not find family to go to, and others who are suffering because illness has struck them or their family. She reminded the students that it is these people who find comfort and help from the Malta Community Chest Fund, and that the money collected as part of the Piggy Bank campaign goes towards this purpose.
