H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono visited Maltese patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where they are being treated for cancer and other medical conditions.
During her visit, the President also met with hospital officials and medical professionals, including Maltese medical professional Laura Borg Turner who serves at this hospital.
The President also visited the Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where she spent time with patients who, during this period abroad, continue to be assisted by the Malta Community Chest Fund.
At the end of the President’s visits, officials of the Malta Community Chest Fund presented donations to the management of the respective hospitals, with the money to be used in aid of the patients’ treatment and ongoing research in the fight against cancer and other diseases.
