President Myriam Spiteri Debono will be admitted to Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday 15th November 2025 for a medical intervention which needs the administration of general anaesthesia.
The President will be unable to fulfil her duties on Saturday 15th November 2025. During this period, Dr Helena Dalli will be assuming the office of Acting President of the Republic.
